1. Facility to burn the movie on DVD or VCD without using other software.
2. Option to split clip and result in smaller clip (it seems to keep
original size).
3. When working with Titles, provide the facility to select the Font size,
not the large A and small A that does not work that well.
4. Provide for scrolling credit to be shown side-by-side with a video clip.

I prefer to use my own, free software from Microsoft will never be able to
match the abilities of commercial software if it is to remain free.

????? I don't know what you are talking about here.
Do you mean it keeps it's original length or it's original filesize on your
hard drive?

I agree although the up and down buttons work just fine it would be easier
to use a dropdown box to adjust the fontsize.

Kind of like the Credits: Video Left Title animation?

1. I was not looking for a very sophisticated utility built-in. Just the
selection they have that doesn't work to create a CD or DVD. Nothing like the
commercial software that does many other things.
2. The file size after the split remains large in the hard drive.
3. It would be nice to have better control (with the current way you can't
use a larger font).
4. I would like to see the feature where you can display a video clip on one
side and the ending credits on the other. I think it is possible to obtain a
similar effect with Rehan's split although there is very little control over
the size of each side.

It is available on the MCE machines but I do agree that it should be
available for simply being able to save to a DVD in all versions of WMM and
it probably will be in the next version I would guess.
> 2. The file size after the split remains large in the hard drive.
That's because when you "split" a clip in WMM the original file isn't split
at all. You are only splitting within the program to make it possible to use
only part of a clip. The size doesn't change because the original clip on
your hard drive doesn't change.

Agreed.

But have you tried the Credits: Video Left Title animation? I think that is
exactly what you are talking about.

I would love to have the capability to increase/decrease volume of the audio
(such as music playing in the background) when there is a Narration on the
certain part of the movie WITHOUT affecting the rest of the movie clip.
It's disappointing and frustrating that the program is incapable of doing
this simple task, knowing that it was developed on the premise that it will
be used for multi-media presentations.
If there IS a way to do this (similar to the capability of Imovie) in WMM,
please post or reply.
PS. Here is how I was able to get around lowering the volume of the music
background while there is a voice over: I cut the music (literally stopped
where I wanted it to but faded it out as opposed to an abrupt stop, then
pasted the same music file but started on where I cut it the first time with
a LOWER VOLUME, tricking the program it is another music file, but it is
continuous when played back. STILL, this does not give you complete control
over sounds and volume level, and the whole things shouldn't be THIS F-ing
difficult to do. I like the program, it just needs more improvement. Hope
this helps, too, for those encountering the same problem. Cheers!

The way you adjusted the volume to a specific section is the right way to do
it.
Unfortunately you can't simply select a portion of the audio and adjust the
volume there.
