Hi I have Sony DVD Camcorder, I have connected with my computer thro USB.
When I click "Capture from Video Device" I get an error message (A Video
capture device was not detected. But Its connected, I can download using
Sony's software).
Any help to resolve is highly appreciated.

your camcorder won't work directly with Movie Maker... see the Importing
Source Files > Video > Discs page of my website for methods of converting
the files on the disc to those that you can import.

I was reading a article posted in your website that requires following
filters. Since I am very new to this I dont know where to find these filters.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
XL Decompress,
AVI_PASS,
only two of the Neros: Nero DVD Decoder and Nero Video Encoder but disabled
the Nero Digital Audio Encoder
Pixela AC-3 Encoder
Pixela MPEG2 Video Decoder
Using Nero Express S2 burned them to DVD.

Thanks... the poster was describing how he/she turned off some of the
filters (codecs) from being used by Movie Maker...
The feature to selectively turn off filters was added by version MM2.1....
to do it, go to Tools > Options > Compatibility tab, and deselect a checked
item to make Movie Maker ignore the filter (codec)...
It's not a feature to add codecs... it's a list of codecs on your system
that could be problematic... on my desktop computer at the moment I have 4
that show up in that list, and I'm running with one of them unchecked....
the other 3 are checked.
