Could someone please tell me if it is possible to edit video from a newer Sony camcorder with Movie Maker? I am used to using Movie Maker, but they have a Sony at my new school and I was told it would not work. True or not? Thanks a bunch! Mommio No idea unless you tell us what soert of Sony it is. MM works with dv.avi and wmv video, so if it is a dvd/hdd/sd model then no, you'll need to convert teh video to wmv first tehn use it. Sony told me that they are able to import mpeg2 file into WMM 5.1 and if I update the CODEC it should be ok however I am still trying to find out how to do it. You can import using the AV imput however you can't remove the time & date.
