I'm trying to convert a live meeting recording to a movie file. Movie Maker
allows me to select the slides I want to show, but when I ask the movie to
save it doesn't complete.

The time remaining keeps increasing (to 1000000+ minutes) and the progress
bar never goes past 0%.

Is there something about Live Meeting files that don't allow saving?

Thanks

yes, Live Meeting files don't use keyframes, which are needed by Movie
Maker.... do a file conversion to another WMV file using the Windows Medial
Encoder 9, which will have keyframes... and then use that to edit in Movie
Maker.

I should have pointed you to my website's Import Movie Source Files > Video
> WMV page.... which includes a link to my newsletter #171 about 'Live
Meeting' Recordings.
