sound is cutting off

my sound is cutting off, even is very small audio clips,
it plays and there's like small echoes of the sounds, I
have enough space in hard drive, and cpu usssage is
around 5% when problems occurs which is always

Is your DirectX set up up to date ? Also your WMP set up ?

If you have any other music making software installed, make sure that any
filters it may have are off. Same goes for games.

Turn down or off the hardware acceleration of your sound card if necessary.
