Wow! "Doctor I've got a pain, can you fix it?" Sound familiar?
Has it every worked properly in the past? If it did, you can try a
system restore. Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>
System Restore - you can go back up to 90 days. Or, first check your
speakers if they are connected properly and/or borrow a friends set of
speakers and see if they work, yours may have become damaged. If
another set of speakers create the same problem, then your soundcard
needs to be reinstalled or replaced.

I have this problem. I've been posting in many posts on this forum. Someone
please help. my computer is an emachines running on windows home xp SP2. my
sound card is a Realtek AC97. I already checked speakers, sound
configurations and even tried to reinstall drives. Nothing has worked.
Any help is appreciated.
