I recently purachased a new  Dell Dimension E510 PC with XP Media Center.
There are several guitar jam tracks on MIDI files on various websites that
used on my old PC with no problems, but the "pitch" is incorrect on this
machine.  I have several jam tracks from the Visonmusic.com website that I
also have on TrueFire's JamBox's CD-ROM. The cd-rom tracks play correctly but
the tracks on the website do not.  Does anyone else have this problem and how
can I correct it?

I would think that the MIDI device you use is instructed to play to a
different pitch. Either by some Tuning message in a MIDI file (and never
reset afterwards) or through its options.
