Hi there,

I reinstalled my wmp 10 as i had mssed up the default settings on my
original one.  While uninstalling, I thinkg i might have removed some
file/software that was required for WMP, i have no idea.

Now it gives me the following msg after i've downloaded and tried to run:

Windows Media Technologies
This version of windows media technologies is incompatible with this version
of windows.  For more information, please see the microsoft website.

But i have windows XP and all the other requirements on the website.  it was
workign just fine before i tried reinstalling it!

Please help.

THanks.

Should not have uninstalled it.  Install current copy overtop of previous
copy, it is designed that way.  First go to Start>Control Panel>Add or
Remove Programs>lefthand column "Add/Remove Windows Components>
uncheck "Windows Media Player>click Next.  Reboot.  Now try to install a
current copy of WMP10 overtop of what you already have.  Good luck :~)
