Everytime I try to open my volume control I get the following message.
"Volume Control has encountered a problem and needs to close."  The error
signature is as follows:

AppName: sndvol32.exe     appVer:0.0.0.0     ModName:user32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1255     Offset 000160ac

Its corrupted.

Put your XP CD in your player, dont let it autostart. Then :

Start > Run > type in msconfig > OK > Expand File > follow the instructions.
You need to install the file in c:\windows\system32 and overwrite the
existing file.

Cheers,
Jerry
