When I plug my usb cable in from my mp3 it freezes my screen. This has only
happened since I download Limewire, although when I downloaded Limewire it
has shows as 360 Share Pro on the desktop and Install Pro in the add/remove
programs. I suspect this may have something to do with it. I also tried my
camera usb cable and this now also freezes the screen.
I have uninstalled the Limewire/360 share and tried to re-intsall but it
wont run the software saying "error opening file for writing" so now I cant
re-install it.
My pc and internet are working fine it's only when I plug into the usb that
this problem occurs.
Can anyone advise please on how to get usb working and re-install?

Start>Run>type DEVMGMT.MSC and press OK
Scroll to the bottom where the USB controllers are listed and
see if any Exclamation (!) or Question (?) marks in yellow are
indicated.  If yes, you can rightclick the USB controllers and click
uninstall.  Reboot your PC and XP will reinstall the USB controllers.

Which version of Limewire - basic or Pro ?

What make is your mp3 player ? Are there specific drivers for your player
that got corrupted when you installed Limewire ?

System Restore to a date prior to first installing Limewire ?

Which video card/set of drivers - are they up to date ?

Ahhh, so many questions and no answers ..... ! Try the following :

1) System Restore to a date prior to installing Limewire.

2) Make sure your USB device works, install any drivers if necessary,
consult the docs that came with it.

3) Download and install e-Mule, same thing, free, no spyware or bugs.

Cheers,
Jerry

NO !

Not until really the last resort !

We currently have two posts going, which is confusing. Have you tried
everything suggested in the other one ?

Suggest you re-post a new thread and ONLY post to that one, explaining what
you'eve tried - my brain hurts ;-)

Cheers,
jerry
