not recog nizing cdrw

was using wmp11 burning with no proublems. wantyed to import lp recordings.
bought and installed magix mp3 maker. did not like uninstalled it. now wmp
will not recognize cdrw, it says to connect a burner and restart player, i
have uninstalled and reinstalled wmp11. checked properties on driver, my
comp, properties, recording, enable.....also went control panal, add or
remove programs, set program access and defaults, custom, choose a default
player, set this to wmp11.....nothing some one please give me a hint, im sure
it was a change made by the magix program but there not talking and microsoft
wants to charge money....

good try but 0 results value was not set so i set it to 2, left click oc cdrw
properties recording tab is displayed, bring up wmp11 still claims that there
is no cdrw drive attached............... thank you for the
suggestion.....anyone else? larry

Also, in Device Manager, remove/un-install your CRRW player and then
re-boot. Let Windows find it as new hardware and install the correct
drivers - did that work ?

uninstalled all my cd drives and let windows find them after three trys  got
it done...........bring up wmp11 and click on burn, still wants me to plug in
a recording device, bummer, did i mention that if i reinstall the magix mp3
maker 11 deluxe that it recognizes the cdrw and burns disk... i just do not
like not being able to use window programs when i want to..   thank you for
your help so far  larry
