I copied a bunch of CD's onto my computer (laptop) a while ago and have
enjoyed listening to them for sometime.  I recently acepted a windows update
to update the player and ever since then I am unable to listen to my copied
CD's.  I get directed to a web page as below which asks me to download a
licence.  However whenever I do I get an error that says "Error 438; unknown
error occured when storing your licence".   I have no idea where these
licences are stored however another user had a similar query and the
suggestion was to delete the files in the DRM folder located in C:\Documents
and Settings\All Users\DRM however when I look in this drive there is no DRM
folder and when I try to create one it says I cannot as one already exists
(not that I can see it)

The DRM folder is hidden by default.  In windows explorer, go to tools,
folder options, then click on the view tab.  Select "Show hidden files and
folders" then click OK.

You may need to close then re-open explorer.

Not sure whether this will resolve the error 438, though.
