Hi there,

I just installed windiws xp on my Sony Vaio VGN-A517B just becaus
bored of the pre-installed version and now the speakers stand dumb
also if I heard the wellcome sound emitted when I swich on the noteboo
(I mean the sound when the word VAIO appears on the screen). Then th
operative system start being loaded and no noises come out, neither th
"music" of Windows.
What can i do? This is not an external peripheric so that I can'
unplug and plug it again to be reconaized by the system. The speake
are integrated, fo course. And in Control Panel------ Audio all th
camp are disactivated so I can't do nothing, apparently...
Does anyone suggest any idea?
Thanks
Paol

Download and install XP specific drivers for your sound card.
