For downloads on cable, you are limited by the cable. On my cable,
downloads are limited to 3 Mb/s, which means 3% of the 100 Mb/s NIC
on my XP PC. 3%, minus some overhead loss, is the absolute best
I can do. If you want to do better than that, you should cancel
your cable connection, and step up to a direct DS-3 (45 Mb/s) link;
but be prepared to pay roughly 3 K$US per month.

thanx bob for the information and ya, i guess the cable is quite
enough for me. 3k$us? well i cant afford it. moreover whatever
download i do ,its on sunday, cause my net is free on sundays.(today
there is only 0.0002 $ in my account i.e. 1 indian penny, but still i
could have used internet for full day ). so i m cool with cable. ;-)
