Win xp pro (both host and client)
firewall disabled

Host comp connects to internet
and all SP's have been installed
and client comp easily accesses host computer for shared
folders.
So why cant I connect to the internet from the client
computer?
Please help!!!

Not alot of info so sorry if I have suggested stuff you tried:-
Is the client using DHCP? Is the Host using 192.168.0.1 as
its IP address?

reposted reply on newsgroup with heading re: Nictu
anyway host id is 192.168.0.1
and I believe client is DHCP since the IP changes at each
login.
At a complete loss here and not even the school "comp
geeks" have a clue...
