Hi,
User is getting the following error msg when attempting to login to a
domain:

"Windows can't connect to the domain, either because the domain controller
is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account wasn't
found. Please try again later. If this message continues to appear, contact
your system administrator for assistance".

If I unplug Ethernet cable, login using cashed account then plug the cable
and she can access network resources.  I've recreated the computer account,
AD ->New Computer.

How do I even begin to troubleshoot this issue?
Nothing has changed, as far as computer name, user rights or even licenses.

Thanks for your advice.

Did you re-join the domain?
Chris - 30 Apr 2004 14:52 GMT
No, I did not.... thinking that the user profile may change... and I hate to
recreate it.
Will it change?

Just rename or copy the profile before re-joining. When you recreated the
computer object, a security channel between AD and the workstation got
broken. Probably, you can find more detailed info in both DC and that wksta
event logs.
