PPPoE connection type not available

When I try to create a new network connection in Windows
XP Home the option for broadband connection type is
greyed out and can not be selected. Does anybody know how
to fix this?

This is the usual culprit:

You Cannot Create a Network Connection After You Restore Windows XP

The fix is to re-apply SP1.
