I have a small network with the host being an XP and the clients 98. I cannot access the XP box from the clients, even though the XP is visible in the network neighbor hood of the 2 clients. I get the error message "compaq not accessible. No permission to access resource". I noticed that I do not have the option of sharing the C drive on the XP. This seems to be pointing to the problem. If this option is not listed, it is also not selected. If simple file sharing is not selected, file sharing obviously won't work.
