When logging into a site like hot mail, I get "the page cannot be displayed.
We have 3 computers networked at work.  The main computer allows you to get
into any site, but the other 2 will not when entering a password.  I have
contacted the ISP and they cannot help.  Our system administrator is me I
assume since I am the office manager.  Can anyone help me?  I think the main
computer may have some type of restrictions on it.  I want to be able to
check my e-mail and get to other sites when entering a password from all of
the computers and I am using Windows XP.

Can you get any type of Internet access from the other 2 computers? or is it
just Hotmail you can't see?

I can get to any site but for example I put in an address in mapquest and got
a map, but when I put an address to get directions it "timed out".  That is
what I call it.  And when I go to any site that requires you to put in a
password or enter more information the same thing happens.

are the computers running xp SP2? I'm asking because of the POP UP feature in
IE SP2......It shouldn't be a DNS issue if you can get to the main page of
the site???

no problem.... you can try adding those sites into the Trusted Sites in the
IE\Tools\Internet Options\Security\Trusted Sites, click on the Trusted Sites
button and add the site name. Can you access that same web site properly from
another computer?

Good Morning.  I did the trusted site but no such luck.  Yes, I can get to
the sites from a different computer.

Shawna,

Check your MTU.
http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article04-107
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314825
http://alive.znep.com/~marcs/mtu/

If that's not any help, try accessing the server by ip address.  Then ping that
server by name, and by ip address.  Observe and report the exact error for each
of the 4 tests.

Translate the server name to ip address here, using NSLookup:
