dial-up internet connection, speed dropped from 56 to 33.2?

Hello, ever since ive installed SP2 on my WinXP Machine, my internet dials
up at only roughly 33k a sec instead of 56k. Does anyone know why? i dont
really want to uninstall SP2:(

"Bump" doesn't work on Usenet. Try reinstalling the drivers for your
modem. Get them from the modem mftr.'s website or, if you have an OEM
machine (HP, eMachines, Sony, etc.) get them from the OEM's website for
your particular model computer.

thanks for your help, but any drivers i try to install, i get a message
saying windows cannot find a better match for your hardware than aleready
installed :(

ah i speak too soon, i used the manual driver isntall thingy, the let me
chosoe one, and now its up to 50.6, yay
