Hello. Is there a way to access the complete contents of another computer on
the network? Not just the shared folders but everything on the computer. I
am the network administrator.

What's the complete contents?

If you know scripting, for instance Visual Basic Scripting, using WMI or WSH,
you can get a lot of information about objects on the network. You gotta do a
lot of reading though - this is a large document.

It depends on what version of XP you have. Home Edition does not allow
you to share users' home directories or the Program Files (although you
can share folders within the Program Files folder). XP Pro, with Simple
Sharing disabled, allows you to see and access everything.

What exactly are you trying to do? If you tell us, maybe we can help
more specifically.

There are several options available. You can use RemoteDesktop if you're
using XP Pro. If not, there is a free download from Microsoft "msrdpcli.exe"
that gives you the same ability for all pre-XP systems back thru Windows 95.
You can also use pcAnywhere to access any pc on the network. Administrators
have full access to everything once you're connected to the machine. Hope
