Hi;
I am trying to create a direct cable connection using a serial cable between
two XP SP1 machines, i have followed the instrustions in MS document
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814981 but the following error keeps coming
when i try to connect:
Error 777: The connection attempt failed because the modem or other
connecting device on the remote computer is out of order.

I was able to communicate between the two COM ports vis Hyper Terminal.
Can you please help solve this out.

Thanks
Laith

Do you have the correct serial cable to make the direct connection? See
here http://www.wown.com/j_helmig/dccmain.htm for some DCC tips.
