I have a Windows Media Center 2004 edition PC.
It connects to my home network via integrated WIFI card.

IS there a feature that could enable a Wake on WIFI as opposed to a
wake on lan?

there is no option on the properties of my wifi adapter, but i'm dying
to know if this is possible??

thanks
mike

Hi

Wake On LAN (WOL) is based on Motherboard, Network card Hardware's capacity,
and on the way ATX power supply is working with the computer. I.e. Special
power is provided the Motherboard even when the general power is Off.

Regular Entry Level Wireless does not work at all, unless the computer is On
and windows is running, therefore, it can not be a part of a WOL
arrangement.

However if you equip the computer with a Stand alone Driverless Wireless
that can work undependably from the computer, and the computer is WOL
capable. Connecting the Stand alone Wireless client to the computer's
Network card and leaving the Wireless unit On might enable the computer via
WOL.

About Stand Alone Driverless Wireless Client (Group Bridge) see here,

About WOL see here, http://www.ezlan.net/WOL.html
