Hello All Networking gurus,
I have a simple network setup, wherein I have a laptop(wireless) and
desktop(hard wired) connected to a router. The router is connected to the
internet. I can share drives from either computers. Inspite of this when I
check in the "my network place", I only see the current computer. I dont see
the other computer. I think it has something to do with workgroup/domains.
Can some one tell me what these(workgroup/domain) are? Is there a link which
explains these concepts?

Thanks
Prashant H. K.

You probably have a misconfigured firewall. Here is an excellent network
troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna. Take the time to go through it
and it will pinpoint the problem area(s).

Prashant,

There are several possibilities for your problem.  What personal firewall does
each computer have - and is it properly configured?  What antivirus?
