Remote file transfer

I have just installed a wireless router so that I can use a laptop.
I now need to know how to setup the laptop and my PC so that I can transfer
files to and from.
Is there any easy way to do this via software or any other method?

You need to set up a home network. The first thing to do is run the
Network Setup Wizard. Very often this is enough. Then share out the
desired resources.
