Remote Desktop remains locked

I am making an XP Pro PC to act as a 'bulliten board' that has a Powerpoint
slideshow running to greet visitors as they come into our building.  The
receptionist will be updating the slideshow remotely. In the past, we used a
Windows 2000 build with NAI Remote Desktop to do the remote update. While
NAI's product works, it is a bit cumbersome.

I would like to use XP's native Remote Desktop, but the problem is after you
disconnect from the remote session, the computer remains locked, whereas I
need the screen to stay active so the slideshow that was started in the
remote session can still be seen.

Does anyone know if there is something in the registry that can be tweaked
to allow this, or is it (as I suspect) simply the nature of the beast, and
behavior that can't be modified by design?

Any insights would be gratefully received.

Thanks,
DVS
