In Win XP Pro, why is it so slow to open the drop-down box in the open or
save as dialog boxes.  For some reason that I don't know  the look in drop
down box takes for ever to open to go look in a different location, wheather
it be on a different local drive, or  a network location.

Can this be set to not take so long...

Thanks,

Dixxy

In my experience, the most common cause is a mapped network drive that is
unreachable. Check all your network drives and make sure you can read them.
If not, correct the problem, or disconnect them.
