Hello all,

I was intalling a scanning tool on my laptop which failed at the very end of
the install.  Since that point I cannot gain network connectivity.  The NIC
gets an address from the DHCP server without a problem, put when I ping any
address, including the loopback, I get a destination unreachable error.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the TCP/IP protocol all to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas?

P.S. - This a W2K SP4 laptop.....I posted here because there's no group for
W2K.

Dan,
Can you please put all the information for the network settings?
ip,subnet, gateway

destination unreachable sounds like your gateway is out of reach from your
subnet.
