I tried to share a folder for the XP computer in network but then I'm not
able to view the folder in any others PC within the network. This problem
occured only to some of the folder shared (eg: I shared 10 folders and I'm
able to view only 5 folders in the network). What is the possibilities that
might caused this problem?

Thank you

Partial accessibility and visibility is not an unknown problem.  It will require
permissions examination, which will be easy or harder, depending upon whether
the computer is running XP Home or Pro.

Hi Chuck,

The client that have the sharing problem is running on XP Pro. When I share
the folder from the clients I do actually choose the user who can access the
folder from the list and give full access to the user. But after sharing the
folder I'm not able to view it in any other clients within the network. I
noticed that the shared folder can only be view in the XP Pro pc itself.

I'm now having another client which is also running on XP Pro can't be
accessed from other clients PC. When any other client tried to accessed the
PC it will prompt user to enter password and there's no changes done on the
setting. For your information, the XP pc can accessed any other clients
within the network and able to view the contents.

Thank you.

Sy,

OK, mixed visibility problems between different computers is another issue
altogether.  Diagnose the problem, and make it easy on yourself.

Please identify 3 computers:
1) The computer with the shares.
2) A computer that CAN access computer #1.
3) A computer that CANNOT access computer #1.

Look at "browstat status",  "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net
config workstation", from each of the 3 computers.  Read this article, and
linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):

And, Sy, typing your answers after mine will be easier on us both in the long
term.
