WinXP Pro SP2, Windows Live OneCare Firewall.  can ping internet, lan of RH
7.3 and Centos 4.2 servers, and router.

What I cannot do is ping name or number of WinXP Pro machine from self or
servers.

Windows Live OneCare Firewall is set to allow TCP/IP Ping from lan
computers.  However, when firewall is turned on it will not allow the self
ping by number or name.  Turn it off and I have full ping capablity from self
to self and lan server to XP machine.

For those who don't know Windows Live OneCare Firewall disables the WinXP
PRO SP2 firewall.

Well that was disappointing.  After I posted this I found the answer to my
issue.  The ICMPv4 inbound had to be allowed to get the XP box so the lan
could ping and it to ping itself.  Once that change was made everything is
working.
