Did the problem just start after you used the VPN recently? I bet talking to
whoever supports the VPN, at your work, would be a good place to start. I'm
betting that they added some access policies, to keep the work network secure.
If you can't get any help there, try checking the LSP / Winsock for corruption.
If you do, though, make sure that you know ho to reload the VPN, as I can't
guarantee what the LSP tools will do to a VPN client.

This kind of symptom (typically can ping websites but not browse them) is
often due to LSP problems, as mentioned. A favourite culprit is Google
Desktop Search.

The challenge here is to avoid borking the VPN, which is generally work
