Windows Forum / Windows XP / Networking and Web / February 2008Limited or no connectivity. I've tried everything
I have a network with a PC connected by an ethernet cable to a cable modem and a laptop connected wirelessly via a Belkin router to the same modem. The notebook has the Internet connection but the PC does not. I tried everything from simply repairing the connection on the network to reinstalling windows. After reinstalling, it worked for a day and then I had the same problem. I tried a USB cable from my modem to the PC. It also had no connectivity. Please help. Your original post didn't say that. It said "PC connected by an ethernet cable to a cable modem " is the Ethernet card working? Do you have the correct drivers installed?
