screensaver running slow

Im having trouble with my screensavers running very slowly and some are not
responding at all . Can anyone give me advice on troubleshooting that.

Screensavers are unnesesary and use computer resources. There is no
burn in with CRT (tube) monitors. Just have the screen go black
anyway.. I'd forget about them all together if I were you. Yours are
problably taking up too much of your system resources anyway seeing as
you get theadvanced  slowdown...
