Ever since I got my ipod a few days ago I have been having to install and
uninstall itunes and quicktime over and over again in my WindowXP. I finally
got them both to work properly yesterday and I even decided to "clean out"
some unnecessary programs I had installed such as MSN messenger and
Irfanview. Now, when I go to defragment my disk, it says my C drive has less
than 8% free space even though I have actually uninstalled programs and I had
more than 75% free space a few days ago. My computer also won't let me do
system restore. It also won't even let me  uninstall ipod, itunes, and
Quicktime from from my "add or remove programs" list. Unfortunately, the
ipod, itunes, Quicktime, and my Norton anti-virus software now no longer
work. I'm obviously very computer illiterate and any help anyone could give
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Judging from your fairly desperate-sounding posts to many newsgroups in the
past 2 days (http://snipurl.com/l6vt), I would suggest you run a *thorough*
check for hijackware, including posting a HijackThis log to an appropriate
forum (see below).

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware.  **Post
your log to http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22,

http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7,
http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30, or other appropriate forums for expert
analysis, not here.**
