In the school of hard knocks,
I learned that IE7 would not work properly with Windows XP and Outlook 2003.
IE7 would not allow me to save or copy a pic from an E-mail or a CD.
It stated that it could not find the mshtml.hlp help file.

Some XP Newsgroups informed me that the file - mshtml.hlp - does not exist.
They recommeded un-installing IE7.
I had to un-install IE7 to correct the problem.

My Question is . . .
Will IE7 cause the same problem with Windows Vista Home Premium and
running Microsoft Office 2007 Professional?

In other words, when running Vista, will IE7 work correctly with Outlook 2007?

My daughter wants to upgrade her computer to Vista Home Premium, because
she does a lot of work with pictures -- will IE7 - cause the same problem?

I will be grateful for the insight on the compatibility of IE7 with Outlook
2007 and Vista that you can provide.

Thank You,

Based on information from other non-MS newsgroups, most folks have found
that the problem goes away. Why? Here is a Microsoft comment:

I would be more concerned about other incompatibilities. Will her printers
and other peripherals have updated drivers? Have you run the Microsoft
provided Window Vista Upgrad Advisor? If not download it here:

or.mspx

Take it's warning seriously. If it says that a device may not work, check
with the manufacturer for an updated driver and download it prior to Vista
upgrade...

Thank You, Chuck, for responding,

I am glad to learn that Vista eliminates the IE7 problem.

My daughter has run the Windows Vista Upgrade advisor
and will need a few upgrades -- more than anticipated.
But she will probably proceed with upgrading to the full version of
Windows Vista Home Premium.

Thank You, again, for informing me that Vista eliminates the IE7 Problem.

Thank You,
