New system install

I just had to reinstall my xp system. I have two problems. 1) no mail icon on
the tool bar at top of page. 2) At the bottom right of the page the little
icons that show various applications,and periphirals will not come up but
only a vsry small amount. I can tell they are there but not high enough to
read. Thanks. James

Sounds more like you did a recovery (using an OEM system restore/recovery
CD/DVD/partition) than an installation.
Also - sounds like you need to change your video resoltuion which may
involve downloading the latest video card device driver.

No, this was a complete new install. I will look for a new video driver
