I have a new computer with Word 2007 I now am unable to send emails having
typed them in Word 2007 (easier when creating tables etc.).  I had no
problems with Word 2000 but this icon for emailing is pale and doesn't
respond to clicking and "Help" doesn't help.  I've the mortifying feeling I
have overlooked something but would be grateful for advice.  Thanks.

Customize the Quick Access Toolbar by adding the Send to Mail Recipient
item. You will find it in either the Commands Not in the Ribbon or the All
Commands categories that you select via the Choose commands from combobox.

Hope this helps.

Thank you TaurArian,  Did that and got a Microsoft message saying it had
encountered a problem and needed to close and meantime was recovering my
work. So I tried again (several times with no luck)  This morning there was
another message waiting for me saying they needed to check further and would
I click to send reports on so they could figure out what had happened!

Dear TaurArian

Waited a couple of days and then did a test email but Microsoft has yet to
fix the problem.
So this is added to the idiocy (unless one is French of course) of the
default dictionary in Outlook Express.
I wish I hadn't bought Word 2007 when I got the new computer I wish somehow
I could have transferred the old one across but if wishes were horses.....

Thanks again for responding.

I'll post again if Microsoft sorts it out.

Sheila
