I have a problem I need some help with.  When my computer boots,
everything is normal until the desktop appears.
The first display window that appears is:  Window Installer - Preparing
to install.

Next is Scan - Please wait while Windows configures scan.  The feature
you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM on another removable disk that is
not available.

Insert scan disk and click OK.  
I insert the software disk that was with my printer ( or other software eg.,
Microsoft Picture-It)  and the process is
completed.

The next time I boot the computer the same problem happens.
