I have a desktop theme which I wish to keep but have added a screensaver to
start after 5 minutes of inactivity. However, after the 5 minutes the screen
turns black instead of the screensaver. What setting do I need to change?
Thanks!

The monitor turns black since it is possible that the power savings setting
allows it. Check for this in the box labeled "Energy savings features of
monitor" box in the Screensaver applet.

Terri, do a Search for it. Click on the All files and folders and in the
All or part of file Name box type: *.scr The Screensaver you added
should show up in the C:\Windows\System32 Folder. If not move it there.

Terri, just thought of something else. If your Theme Screensaver has a
3-D aspect to it
maybe it's overpowering your system graphics. Some require a good 3-D
capable Video Card.

Hello,
Start
Control Panel
Performance and Maintenance
Power Options
On the Power Schemes Tab, under turn off monitor - select never.
I have my hard disks set to turn off every 2 hours.
System Standby....never - but this is up to you.
With the monitor set to never turn off, it should not go to
black....tapping or moving the mouse usually brings you back to desktop,
right?
Take Care...Dee
