I need help. My desktop has this bid blue bar all down the left side of the
screen and it has 3 sections on it: Folder Tasks, Other Places, and Details.
It just came on there one day and I can't figure out how to get rid of it.
Also my destop items will not move with drag and drop; they will only let me
place them elsewhere if I cut and paste. What's with that?
I'm sure these are probably some thing really simple because my computer
works just fine, but this is beyond me.
Please help, I'll be forever in your debt!

Try the following.

Go to Start -> Run and enter this command in the Open box.

regsvr32 /i shell32

Click OK.

If that doesn't solve the problem, download and run the
registry fix available at this web site.
