I am trying to change my startup menu and a few other things. A message comes
up that only the administrator can log-on and make these changes. However I
am the administrator (also the only user). When I start up and login I do so
as the computer administrator. Any ideas most welcome.

Are you using the built in Administrator account for everyday use or do you
have a seperate account with administrator rights? if your not using the
built in Administrator account try using that to make the changes...... to
use this press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the welcome screen

Hope this helps

...if running XP Pro - if XP Home, restart your PC in Safe Mode (F8 as it
comes up).
