Save as on CD ROM

Cannot save my work onto a CD ROM  because a message comes up saying- You do
not have access to the folder 'E:\'  See your administrator for acess to this
folder -.  I have checked to make sure I am the Computer Adminstrator and I
am.  Can you please help

You cannot save files onto a blank CD disk using a CD-ROM drive. A CD-ROM
drive is Read Only and doesn't write. You need a DVD/CD-RW drive.

Please post back with what optical drive you really have, what type of blank
media you are using, and with what program you are trying to burn a CD.

Thanks for reply, I am using XP Home Edition on a Compaq computer, I did make
a mistake as I am using a CD-RW not CD ROM.  Am trying to put work done on
Excel onto CD.  Have done this before, but suddenly won't let me.  Hope I've
given you enough info.
