i found a picture and saved it as a background. i didn't save the
picture first and now i can't find that picture again. is there anyway
to save that picture if it's only on your desktop (background)??

When you use a picture as your desktop background, it *must* be stored
someplace on your hard drive. So yes, you can find and save that
picture elsewhere if you want.
To find the picture, do a search for its name.

It's saved but the name depends on the program you used to save it. If
you used IE to "Set as Background", it stores it as "Internet Explorer
Wallpaper.bmp".
Paint stores it as Wallpaper.bmp I believe.
Netscape uses "Netscape Wallpaper.bmp" for the name.
