I have Windows 98 and just purchased Windows xp.  I try to
load and it ran for three hours, then circled back and had
me start over.  When I tried to start over, it kept
circling back.  What do I do?

You need to remove ALL Media (e.g. CDs, floppies) from your drives if setup is asking you to do so
