Does someone know how I can get a faster shutdown with Windows XP Pro?  I
believe there ways to do this, but I can't remember what they are.  Thanks
in advance.

I would recommend using FreshUI (www.freshdevices.com),
Download FreshUI ($Free) Install it and once you get it
up and running select the "Windows System" Menu on the
left and  then the StartUp/ShutDown option. Select
Shutdown, and enable the AutoEnd Apllications opton.
Should make things a little faster for you.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I installed the program, but found it didn't
help the one phase of shutdown that's taking so long -- Saving your
Settings.  I'll keep looking, though.
