Help!  I operate with Windows XP Home edition, recently had problems with
viruses even tho I have Macafee & Norton. "Bloodhound 32" was quoted by
Norton. However all seemed ok but when I now try & start up pc, it hangs just
after welcome screen, pc is non responsive to any commands, no applications
or desktop loaded. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Try scanning in Safe Mode (tapping F8 while PC boots up) and if necessary
you may have to disable System Restore by right-clicking "My Computer" go to
the system restore tab and "Turn off System Restore on all drives" then scan
again.
