Please help! When I try using disk defragmenter, it does nothing. I get no
response. I've tried checking DCOM setting and other suggestions I saw posted
in the newgroup. I put in my XP Pro CD and tried reinstalling tool; that
didn't work.
Is there any download that I can use to restore disk defragmenter? Any
help will be most appreciated!

Days ago I actually printed off 22 pages from this group on this topic.
Actually, in Windows inf folder, I do not have dfrg.inf so I can't run an
install from there. Which lead me to an attempt at reinstalling some
components off the xp pro cd. No luck. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Try running the system file checker tool, hit start, run, and type in this
here with that space after the sfc too; sfc /scannow and have your XP CD
ready to put in.

Tks, but that didn't work either. Appreciate the tips; keep sending more my
way. I am stumped!
