I hope this is the right place for this question. Our Church has been running
a 2wire
wireless network with minimal problems. We had a Lanier LD232c Printer/copier
installed and have nothing but problems.  The individual computers will talk
with each other, but not with our server/workstation. The Workstation will
not communicate with any device. I have noticed the properties of all the
othe computers show they are running XP Pro, but the server properties
indicate Lan Manager 4.1. I don't understand where it came from, but I think
it is the source of our problem.  The systems have been communicating with
each just fine, but now I havbe the problem. The server/workstation will not
appear in any work group. I have disabled firewalls tempory, but still have
the problem. I would like to remove   the Lan Manager 4.1 but don't  know
how. It might not be the problem. Suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,  Linda

Try to see if lan Manager is an installed program in your add/remove
software-if it is remove it

There was no lan Manager Listed. the error log indicated there was a
duplicate name on the network .The name was changed on the offending computer
with the duplicate name. And everything works, The lan Manager was changed
back to XP pro automatically. Sorry I did not have the duplicate name info in
the original post.
