For about a month, I have observed that a small white icon quickly
moves across my taskbar.  It comes on; moves fast; and disappears.  It
is almost like it is scanning.  I truly am having a difficult time
knowing how to describe this phenomena.  (Well, it is a phenomena to
me.)  I have no idea if is happening because of some form of Spyware or
because of some program I have installed.  I have nothing out of the
ordinary re:  programs.  I am wondering if my G-Mail Notifier is
causing this?????  I could disable it and see what happens.  I would
like to know if anyone can explain this to me??  Much obliged to anyone
who can tell me what this might be or what is causing it!  Thank you!

Most interesting!  I disabled the G-Mail Notifier!  No more icon
running across my taskbar!  Of course, now I have to sign-on to G-Mail
to receive my mail, but no more bothersome scanner thing!
