Problem with "fast switching"

ok so i need some help... i have reciently found that i am no longer able to
"fast switch" between accounts on Windows XP home adt.  service pack 2 is
installed...
i have  2 accounts.. one for my self and one for my girlfriend.  both
accounts work fine when the other one is inactive... however, when my account
is active you can not "fast switch" to my girlfriends account, and vice vrs.  
you cant "fast switch" from her account to mine.  when i attempt to switch
from my account to hers, the screen quickly flashes my desktop on my account
then goes dirrectly back to the welcome screen with my account and her
account available...

can aaaaaaaaanyone help me please?? please if anyone can help i would
greatly apreaciate it... i have dell and they have no idea what to do and
just keep dirrecting me to microsoft.. however when i attempt to contact
microsoft by email they dirrect me back to dell..

I don't have a good idea of how to fix this - but have found that removing
and then reinstalling the video drivers often helps.  If that doesn't work,
I'd suggest running SFC.EXE /SCANNOW from the Run dialog.

Add RAM.

Your girlfriend does not have as much running so she is able to switch to
your account. You have a whole lot more running, and are using up the
resources. There are insufficient resources available to allow another
account to run simultaneously when yours is started first.

I'd suggest switching over to the "Windows XP/Configuration and Management"
Newsgroup. Do a search for "Fast User Switching Not Working" and you should
find a good review of a variety of things that need to be checked.
